Because of the interest in the spindle, I had hubby reproduce a few, exactly like my original 60's spindle. It is very light wt. at 5/8 oz. and spins forever. You can pack a full 4oz. on this baby and make a center pull ball to knit from or ply together end to end. You will receive three different kettle dyed roving's in strips exactly like the ones I used to knit the blanket. This roving will make the God's Eye patterning effect that you see on the spindle. You can wrap your handspun on the spindle in any form you wish. I started to write up a detailed description of how I do the wrap and I think it will be so much easier for you to actually see how I wrap the spindle. I will be posting a (how-to) for the God's Eye pattern, on my blog after everyone receives their spindles. More roving is available if you wish to make a blanket like mine.
It is just simply - a fun spin!
