The butterfly shawl is not triangular, rather it is a ‘batwing’ design. This allows the sides of the shawl to drape over your shoulders and stay there. This shawl is a one of a kind piece.
Crocheted using a a blending of alpaca and soy silk, the subtle shades of the fine silk provide hints of green, mauve, teal and purple among the sapphire blue.
The shawl measures a full 48” across the top, and 24” from center back to the bottom point. It is a medium weight.
Although the shawl can be machine washed on a delicate cycle, I prefer to hand wash and dry them flat. It should not be stored on a hangar - rather should be folded and placed in a drawer.
