A very beautiful and unique piece of Jakob Bengel jewelry. This marvelous item is from the late 1920s and has a very unique composition as most Bengel pieces did. The jewelry made by Jakob Bengel was so unique and rare because he didn't mass produce his jewelry. This was because Bengel used such different material to make his jewelry that producing a piece was time consuming and the newness of the material was not yet popular for mass production to be effective. The necklace chain is made up of chrome metal in a box design that leads down to two large chrome beads. This places us at the centerpiece which is composed of three large sections made up of red galalith hemispheres at each end of a chrome and galalith cylinder design that looks very pretty. In between these three sections are two large chrome metal beads that measure 17mm in diameter. The necklace is strung onto a chrome metal chain and this item is fastened with a barrel clasp that holds very well. The entire necklace measures 19" in length and even though this piece is not signed the design and material used to make it leave no doubt in my mind that it is a Jakob Bengel item.
