The fabric is an earthy olive green silk dupioni with teal embroidery. The leaf is securely sewn and glued onto an alligator clip for easy placement in your hair. I use a special technique so that this barrette will not snag or tear at your hair.
The lily pad is about 3" in diameter (7.6 cm), however I can make it a bit larger or smaller if you like- just ask! After experimenting a bit with making many different sizes of lily pads, I think this size is perfect- it is small and dainty and has lots of detail, and looks good in proportion to a person's head.
I can make this design in just about any color scheme in the universe. I can also add a pearl to the center if you'd like, please let me know!
All edges of fabric are treated with Dritz Fray-Check, to prevent fraying. I use the best materials and construction methods- this is a mini piece of fiber art!
