Wilbur is made from sterling silver and dark aventurine button and round beads.
His favourite dish has a frame made from one continuous length of heavy gauge wire, that has been hand shaped and hammered for strength. The frame was completely coiled with 18+ ft of fine gauge sterling wire. Inside the apple you will find button gemstones in natural bright red ruby and dark red garnet with a hint of fuchsia. For the leaves and stem, I used spring green peridot and russet hessonite garnet.
The strap is made from sterling silver wrapped tiny peridot discs.
It’s a fun piece, sure to make people smile when they examine it closer. :)
All metal used is sterling silver that has been oxidised and polished for extra depth and definition.
Size of the apple: 75mm x 75mm – (3”x3”).
Wilbur Worm is 40mm long (1 ½”).
The necklace is closed with a toggle (Wilbur is not just another pretty worm, he has a full-time job securing your necklace), and it is non-adjustable.
The total length of the necklace is 50cm (20”).
To extend the life of this unique jewelry, please do not bring in contact with oils, perfume, water etc.
