Materials I used in this beadwork creation include Swarovski Crystals, Miyuki Japanese seed beads and stunning Czech glass drops in shades of cherry blossom colors.
As of April 1, 2010, and from this weekend and probably the entire next week should be the best time this year to see cherry blossoms in many major cities in Japan.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration in Washington, D.C. commemorating the March 27, 1912, gift of Japanese cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington. Mayor Ozaki donated the trees in an effort to enhance the growing friendship between the United States and Japan and celebrate the continued close relationship between the two nations. For me the cherry blossom is something that fascinates me very much.
The lovely floral netted beadwork necklace measure is approximately 17.5 inches in length including the clasp. The centerpiece measure is approximately 2 inches.
This amazing Japanese flowering cherry Blossom Beadwork Necklace would be great addition to your jewelry collection.
