This button measures approximately 3/4" or 2 cm square. This is the actual button you will receive.
This is the perfect type of button to add to something really special. These are a great button for button collectors since they are one of a kind and a number of button collectors have purchased from me over the years.
Each piece of glass is cut out individually by me, layered and fused to the perfect temperature in my kiln so that the glass is fused but the texture remains. Due to the nature of glass and the unpredictability of the kiln each piece is one of a kind and unique.
The button is formed with art glass designed for fusing. After the glass is fused to the correct temperature it is annealed overnight. Annealing makes the glass strong and durable so you can be assured you are getting a one of a kind durable piece of art. In addition, this particular button has an iron oxide tranfer of Alice in Wonderland fused to it. I make the transfer myself and it is fused to the button so it becomes part of the glass. It will not scratch or wear off. The transfer fires to a dark sienna tone or dark reddish brown.
The coin in the picture is a Canadian one cent coin (which is the same size as an American one cent coin) to help demonstrate the size. I also show the item in my hand for international shoppers that may not be familiar with the size of these coins.
