I used a beautiful cotton Neuilly piqué, a remnant of curtain fabric, for the wings of this black-veined moth. The wings are backed with linen, and I machine stitched the graphic veins. The body is linen, stuffed with polyfil.

Measures 6" x 2.25" (15 x 5.7 cm).

These are day-flying moths which feed on marjoram, and are a protected species in the UK.
