A fine [.999] silver jellyfish, heavily oxidized and floating on an elegant sterling silver figure eight style chain. The jellyfish shows us how to move in harmony with the natural forces of Mother Earth. It is said to symbolize faith and acceptance, and some believe that its transparent form holds the key to true spiritual knowledge. Jellyfish are exquisite and fascinating, at once very fragile and incredibly resilient. There is even a species, Turritopsis Nutricula, which has been discovered to have the potential for biological immortality.

Chauncey, so-named by my husband, was created using Precious Metal Clay and a cute mold I found. Great care is taken to sculpt excess clay from around his tentacles, so a good portion of them hangs freely. The chain and sterling silver findings are oxidized to match the pendant, then museum quality protectant is applied to help retain the patina.
