There are lots of possible variations on this pattern too - if you change the shape of the side piece you can create a truck shape, a train box car shape, an SUV, a boat, a boot, or an animal on wheels. You can stretch the car out and modify it to use two pockets for a front and back seat. Whatever shape you can think of.
This is a PATTERN, not a finished product.
Finished dimensions (with wheels): 4" x 4" x 7"
This pattern is easy to follow with clear black and white illustrations. The pattern pieces are all full size, and fit onto one 8.5"x11" page. The full pattern and instructions are distributed as a 4 page PDF.
Materials:
* 11" x 3" fabric for top
* 13" x 3" fabric for pocket, bottom and strap
* 14" x 3" fabric for sides
* ~1/2" x 5/8" velcro
* 1.5" x 4" felt
* 1/8" x 3" ribbon
* 2 3/8" x 5 7/8" light cardboard (cereal box)
* 4 wheels, 1.5" diameter and 1/2" thick
* 8" of 1/4" wooden dowel (2x 3.75")
(Wheels and dowels can be bought from me in sets, or a site such as craftparts.com in large quantities.)
