The European honey bee is one of our most important pollinators here on planet earth. I am a holisitic bee keeper here in the Santa Monica Mountains of California where my little feral bees gather nectar from the wild woodland. There favorite seems to be the white sage which is named after them Salvia Apiana.
The print featured in this petite sized art local is a honey bee I created with my husband after reading an enchanting tale of a velvet corseted bumblebee. The image is showcased in a detailed oxidized brass antique inspired frame, strung on a tiny brass rolo chain and finished with a lobster claw clasp. Pendant measures 1 inch tall.
The archival print of the bee image is sealed with a glass-like coating for protection and shine. The locket hangs on a 20 inch length chain.
Inside the locket, there are 2 empty recessed areas for you to mount your favorite pictures of your own choosing. These openings measure 3/4 of an inch around. The outside diameter of the locket measures 27mm (just over 1 inch). Please note this is not a perfume locket, although I do have a suggestion on how to use it as a perfume locket.
This is a fabulous gift for that special someone! I place the locket in a little purple pouch within a purple box.
The beautiful little treasure is created by jewelry artisan Lori Patton of Heartworks by Lori using an archival print of the image. Greg is the illuminator of my perfumes and worked on this bee image with me. Find links to Greg and Lori in the profile section.
Please note this item tends to sell out quickly, currently I have a limited supply.
