I have been using my coiled paper in a lot of my artwork. This particular piece came about because I was trying to make a plate out of the coils to spice up my variety of paper bowls but it failed. The coil idea can't withstand a flat shape so I had this large chunk of beautiful coils and I this idea that's how this idea was born.
The coil mass is raised from the canvas and tied down with raffia to small plain white coils glued to the edge of the canvas.
