This set of six glasses from Ricard would be an extra-special addition to your bar. "Momies," as these kinds of pastis glasses are commonly called, have become collector's items. Momies from Ricard like these are especially hard to come by.
They are at least 30 to 40 years old as pastis manufacturers stopped distributing them to bars as promotional material long ago. Why? Changing tastes. It used to be that bar regulars liked their pastis strong, adding just a little bit of water to a lot of the liquid. Think of "momies" as pastis shot glasses. Nowadays, most stick to the much more sober 1 part of pastis to 5 parts water, so bigger pastis glasses are called for.
Please note that there is a tiny fissure on one of the glasses (see last photo).
The glasses are 3.3 inches or 8.5 cm. These will come to you in a recycled cardboard box.
