I named it "Wet Ones", for blatantly obvious reasons. The words "Nourishes", "EXTRA MOISTURE", and "thick & moist" are only slightly more subtle.
For contrast, I juxtaposed it on a sandy beach. The sparkling sea beyond bookends the liquid legends I chose to copy off my plastic model.
I intentionally skewed the perspective to make the container look as if it were leaning towards the viewer, the closure tab waving like an arm, the top-half glowing. I wanted it to look like it REALLY wants you to pull out a piece and wipe yourself!
The fibrous material that is poking through is actually a dryer sheet that I ran through the electric heat tumbler so many times that it eventually lost all its fragrance and (ironically) moisture. And yeah, for yet another double entendre', it's "Bounce" brand ;-p
I cut the aqua mat myself, and assembled it with my artwork inside a glass-fronted, black plastic frame that is embossed with a woodgrain pattern so that it looks like painted wood! The backside is not in the most pristine shape, as I made the artwork in October of 2004 and have exhibited it a couple times in Portland OR and Las Vegas NV since then, but who cares? It is the unseen backside!
Also, the frame has little tabs on the back that could easily allow you to remove the artwork and have it professionally framed, if you like. The moisture of watercolor paint tends to naturally "wave" watercolor paper, so it's not exactly flat. Not that that's a bad thing - I just wanted to state the fact in the spirit of full disclosure.
