A sweet, floating dream of 50s innocence and charm. This lovely wedding gown is just shy of perfectly full length, floating a hair above the feet. The bodice features a slimming basque waist, barely there cap sleeves and little satin buttons up the back. I love the wide, quality chantilly lace and alluring sheer neckline. The skirt is lined with buttery gleaming satin (trimmed at the hem with a horsehair backing) - and overlay is two layers of incredibly fine, soft netting. The tag marks it as being sold at I. Magnin, and it is indeed a fine, designer quality piece.
The gown is in very good condition. I am very discerning about condition, particularly with wedding gowns, though. The satin covered buttons have some discoloration, probably from moisture in past. There is a small strain to the corner of the lace under the right arm. I found two small, unnoticeable pulls to the chantilly trim at waist. There is nothing else to note - no sweat stains, no holes or other issues to note. A lovely gown.
