I had spoke briefly in Mary's description about Simeon. Simeon spent his whole life waiting for God to fulfill a promise that was made to him. He would live to see the Messiah be born.
Joseph and Mary had brought the Jesus to the temple according to Jewish tradition in order to dedicate Him to God. At that moment, Simeon was led by the Holy Spirit into the temple where he not only saw Jesus, but he knew that Jesus was the Messiah. He held Jesus close to his heart, and then he spoke these words as he lifted Him up to God:
29 “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace,
according to your word;
30 for my eyes have seen your salvation
31 that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to your people Israel.”

Imagine living your whole life on a "Word" that was spoken to you. God is a faithful God, and if He said it, He will do it. Simeon is yet another man that God used to fulfill His promise through.
This figurine stands 11" tall and the base is 4"x4". Both figurine and base are sealed with varnish for durability.
