This is a dramatic necklace for the woman with a bit of theater to her...Roman, Greek, Egyptian, or even older...
History is in it's making...two Venetian beads from Mali, both in shades of burnt amber. One walnut bead hand-carved by Popcorntree.etsy.com, sets off the windpipe, and two round black agate beads grace the shoulder, set off by a turquoise glass bead and a dark-red clay bead. The fiber elements are styled by myself from Bali batik cotton cloth in rust, black and moss. Two small black mussels are adorning the collar.
All the elements are knotted securely on extremely durable waxed cotton cord, and the necklace closes with a hand-woven loop and a vintage wood button of half a century ago.
Fits loosely around the collar.
