The rose is crocheted from a light pink yarn in the center, which is primarily wool content (upcycled from a sweater), and a deeper rose color at the edges, which is 100% acrylic yarn. The leaves are cut from a wool felt, and the entire thing is sewn onto a 50 mm (2 inch) spring back nickel barrette. The rose has a diameter of about 2 inches, and the leaves add about 1 inch on each side of the flower.
This barrette can be worn on thick or thin hair of nearly any length. It does not grip hair too tightly, but will generally stay in place. (I put my hair in a tight ponytail and then put the clip just above the ponytail holder to get it to stay in place.)
This pin is not meant to be washed or dried, but can be spot cleaned if necessary.
