This beautiful owl necklace is comprised of a vintage, articulated owl from the 1970’s. I have given him a flower “corsage” and attached him to a vintage pearlescent "moon". He hangs below a cluster of enamel, rhinestone and lucite flowers and leaves (formerly vintage earring and brooches securely wired onto a filigree plate).
The neck is finished with a wide trellis of pewter leaves (formerly a vintage necklace, circa 1960-70s), vintage tortoishell colored beads and faux amber crystals.
The neck circumference measures 19 inches with a 3 inch extension chain. The owl and moon assemblage fall another 6 inches. The wired flower cluster measures 2.5 x 2.75 inches at its longest points.
I think he is an utterly charming and easy wearing design. Whether you wear gold or silver accessories, this fun and striking design will surely complement! Enjoy!
