9" Round glass dish serving or as a decorative piece or whatever you like!
New World leaf-nosed bats are usually brown, grey, or black, although one species is white. They range in size from 4 to 13.5 cm in head-body length, and can weigh anything from 7 to 200 grams. Most roost in fairly small groups within caves, animal burrows, or hollow trees, although some species aggregate in colonies of several hundred individuals. They do not hibernate, although some species have been reported to aestivate.
This dish was made using traditional decoupage under glass techniques. It has a brown crackle back with my logo in copper. (Crackle back varies due to the nature of the process. So the piece you have will be truly unique!) It would make a great conversation piece for anyones parlor.
Decoupage under glass is not dishwasher-safe or water-submersible, however the plate can be gently cleaned using a mild detergent and soft cloth. This piece is suitable for serving or display etc.
