This peacock feather brooch is made with the famous tail feather of the peacock and natural grass green parrot feathers. These feathers are all naturally molted by birds kept as pets in the USA.
This striking piece is larger than my previous brooch designs.
I hand trimmed and placed each feather on a backing of felt made from recycled plastic bottles and plastic from a yogurt container. The design is finished off with a beautiful large brownish-gray or greige vintage button. The whole piece is very light weight.
