As the fruit and vegetables only require small amounts of yarn, this is an ideal pattern for using up the ends of balls of wool.
You could make them for decoration, dolls houses or toy boxes. Or you could make a picnic for the fluff & fuzz woodland animals.
Please note that this is not a listing for a finished item. This listing is for the knitting patterns only.
The pattern is written so it is easier for beginners to follow. You will need to be able to do the following stitches/techniques:
- Knit stitch
- Purl stitch
- Casting on
- Casting off
- i-cord
- Sewing seams
- Increasing: make one (M1); knit front and back (KFB)
- Decreasing: knit 2 together (K2TOG); slip 2 and knit (SSK); slip knit pass over (SKPO)
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles, except the i-cord pieces which are knitted on two double pointed needles (DPNs).
Finished Sizes:
The sizes of the fruit and vegetables vary between 3cm and 10cm, and the basket is 8cm long, 6cm wide and 6cm high (including handles).

The baby carrot pattern included in this listing is a different and smaller version of the carrot sold with the Carnaby Rabbit pattern. Please also note that this listing does not include patterns for the rabbit or squirrel pictured above (these are shown in the photos for display purposes only). The patterns for the rabbit and squirrel are available to buy separately in my store.
