This pretty set has real gold leaf patterns of vertical tree branches with leaves on them. The pattern alternates gold on white and then the reverse in bars along the side of the casserole.
Actually, what's so very special about this 2 1/2 quart standard #475 round casserole is that the entire piece is Delphite Blue, but the sides of the casserole are fired on white. The blue shows through the white a tiny bit, making it seem a pale light blue color. The base is not painted and the leaf patterns are indeed real gold leaf.
As with all Pyrex pieces, we strongly suggest that you take an extra moment and hand wash all of your vintage Pyrex after use. Dishwasher detergent will quickly dull the lovely Pyrex glossy finish.
This stunning set is a serious Pyrex collector's item and is is MINT condition; no doubt stored on the top shelf of somebody's Grandmother's cupboard and never used.
