Recycled Plastic Basket

I have always been fascinated with basket making. Over the years I have made many baskets using different methods and materials. I love taking something man made and turning it into something natural looking like this green basket. This one is made using Recycled green plastic bags. This green basket measures 11 x 3 1/2. Some of the bags are newspaper bags from the L.A. times. The core of this basket is made from over 40 plastic single use grocery bags. It is a tightly woven, beautifully textured, modern twist on an ancient craft.
