My philosophy about makeup is that it is supposed to enhance your natural beauty, not cover it up. Covering up your face with a tinted moisturizer or foundation that is thick enough to make you look like you are wearing a mask, doesn't make you look any younger, nor more beautiful. It just makes you look like you are wearing a mask!
I believe that a tinted moisturizer isn't supposed to give color to your face. You can brighten up your face with blush, lipstick and eyeshadow if you want more color. No, a tinted moisturizer should actually blend into your skin so that it is almost invisible, but it leaves an all over effect that noticably smoothes out your skin texture and evens your skin tone, while still allowing you to see your freckles, if you have any.
I also believe that a tinted moisturizer, which is something that we use in harsh daylight, should leave no deposits in the pores or the lines on your face, so when I tried out my new tinted moisturizer formula, I went outside with a mirror to see what it looked like, and I had to remake the formula a few times before I found a recipe I was happy with.
Tinted moisturizers are very difficult to make. The color should be subtle, and neither too pink, nor too yellow, it should match many different skin tones, and ideally, the coverage should be buildable, and there should be enough light diffusing particles in it to give your face a subtle glow. So, there you have it - no easy task...
So, after trying the tinted moisturizer on people with many different skin tones, I settled on 3 shades that I believe will match most skin tones, light, for pale, fair and light skin, medium, for tan or medium colored skin, and dark for people with dark skin tones, like American Indian or Philipino skin. However, if you are in doubt which of the tinted moisturizers that will match your skin best, I recommend buying a sample first, and I'll refund the sample cost if you buy a full sized bottle later.

Directions:
Apply the tinted moisturizer by itself, or on top of another moisturizer. The coverage is very sheer, but can be built up by applying more and not rubbing it in too much.

Personal Notes:
This tinted moisturizer is made for people with a little bit of a tan. It evens out your skin tone and just creates a gorgeous radiance, even though you can't tell that you are wearing tinted moisturizer. This is why the tinted moisturizer is probably my favorite product. I remember an old commercial that said something like "Is she born that way, or is it Maybelline?" This captures the feeling - does she just have naturally beautiful skin, or is she wearing tinted moisturizer? Nobody will know! Let it be your little secret...
The tinted moisturizer also has a natural SPF from the titanium dioxide it contains, but there is no way I can tell exactly how much, so you may still need to use sunscreen if your skin is very fair.
