EVERY DAY is a Journey original linocut

This piece is inspired by a story I heard recently: a thoughtful teacher in an inner city environment gets her students to lie down for 20 minutes or so a day. They lie down outside and gaze up at the sky; it's a simple activity to nourish our inner core. The title is inspired by Basho's "Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home." My linocut is 12 by 12 inches.

Every hand pulled print is signed in pencil, titled, and has a limited edition number. The physical act of creating a linocut involves multiple steps: drawing and designing, carving and gouging, handling quality paper, rolling the ink, and so on. Every step is done by me, and every linocut in the edition is slightly unique. This piece is printed cream Arches paper.

"Every Day is a Journey" is packaged in a sturdy box for stability.
