I think copper is probably my favorite metal. Maybe it's because I collected pennies when I was little. There's just something about the hue of copper, not quite orange and not quite brown, that appeals to me.

This bracelet is the result of my playing with a bunch of different coppery components... a strand of ndebele rope, beadwoven from matte and shiny dark copper Japanese delica beads, two strands of copper-toned chain in two different sizes, joined at the ends with copper-toned flower bead caps and a loop and toggle closure. Each of the strands has its own charm: one has a copper-toned asymmetrical heart, one a lovely vintage-look skeleton key, and the third has a crackled glass bead attached with a tiny strip of peyote.
