Remember, when you were little, draping blankets and sheets over the clothes line and anchoring the corners with rocks to make clothes line tents? This clothes line tent is a great alternative to the card table playhouses for the little kids, and a great gift for the older kids in your life! We even set ours up in the basement on rainy or cold days, strung between the beams and anchored with books or boxes. Larger than a playhouse, it's fabulous for older kids or families with more kids. A wonderful little spot for imaginative play, story time or nap time.
What's extra great about this Clothes Line Tent? Three velcro loops sewn along the top seam will hold the tent in place on the clothes line. This tent won't slip off the line! Also, I have reinforced the corners of the tent and installed loops for tent stakes. If you don't want to use rocks to anchor it down, use tent stakes. Just insert a tent stake through the loop and push the stake into the ground with your foot. Don't have tent stakes? They are available at many stores for as little as $2 for a set of four. Hang up your clothes line, and you are all set! A large window on one side and three flower sky light windows on the other side provide great views for cloud watching and breezes blowing through. When this tent is set up as shown, it is about four and a half feet high measured from the ground to the rope and about 5 feet wide from side to side. (The tent's dimensions when laid flat are 72" wide by 140" long) Obviously, you can change the dimensions according to how high you string your clothes line and how far you spread out the tent.
