This focal pendant is one of my newest design, which makes an unusual, unique, handmade piece of jewelry sure to get lots of compliments.
I create the bead in the hot flame, melting and adding glass, starting with a disc, adding glass, making the edges ruffle, and then adjusting my torch to make the iridescent glow appear. This is for sure, my kind of bead to make into a pendant for art shows. Unusual and interesting. Totally artsy.
Yellow, a reddish/fushia, and the lustre glass with its range of reflective colors, all I would do is wire some silver to this for a pendant, although it could be just tied to a ribbon or leather cord, or working with seed beads would be a lot of fun to create a necklace or bracelet with a wonderful focal.
kiln annealed for durability and guaranteed for workmanship, this pendant is 35mm in diameter at it's largest point. (1.5 inch) it is 3 to 4 mm thick. The hole is large enough to accommodate 14 g silver or leather cord or silk ribbon as I used my usual 3/16ths mandrel.
