Season 7: Episode 3
“The Metropolitan Museum of Art”

Challenge description:
This was a very exciting challenge! We were asked to browse around the infamous “Met” and find a piece of art that inspired us, and to then make our own personal interpretation of a classic piece from anywhere in their archives, it could be a past or present exhibit or something from their permanent collection. I found more than one! but I narrowed it down to this odd little find here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/experimetal/4333511984/in/set-72157623260017018/

It is Untitled and dated 1844 *see it here* and is of American or European descent, and is made of Coral. It was a gift from Mrs. Edna S. Crawford, 1945. Accession Number C.I.45.32.7a–c

This piece was inspired/interpreted by that odd little trinket with no name and no description. It was made of Coral and little pillow sachets I believe from what I could see from the photos. I made a sort of talisman charm necklace because I thought the objects were some form of protection because of the sachets.

Materials: Sterling Silver, Copper, Topaz and Coral.
Pendant overall length: 4"
Chain length: 19.5"
*the long rectangle is Copperon the outside w a Sterling center panel with Sterling pins, the other 2 are oxidized Sterling Silver.
~these charms are slightly noisy as you move they will move and make sound. so if you plan to stalk mice, then maybe it isn't a wise choice to wear while hunting :)~

It will be sent (domestic destinations) USPS Priority Insured, and come packaged in a wooden box similar to the one in this listing: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=14555668

*This series of Project Runway pieces I will be listing are "One of a Kind works" They are described as honestly and fully as possible. IF you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing.
As "ALL sales are final" for my Project Runway series.
