The pin was made using precious metal clay, which is a medium made using reclaimed silver from disposed electronics and film processing. It is eco-friendly. I shaped, engraved, fused, tumbled, polished, oxidized, polished and tumbled the piece again. The end result is a pure silver piece. It is 99.9% silver.
This brooch is one of a kind. The shape is free form. The words 'Seek Peace' were written by hand and hearts were added for fun. It is substantial in size.
The safety pin type closure on the back is made in the USA of nickel silver. I chose to use it because of the sturdiness vs. sterling silver. It was soldered into place by hand.
The pin measures 1 1/2 inches wide by 3/4 inches tall.

Thank you for supporting jewelry made with recycled silver. The planet's reserves are estimated to run out in 2028. We must reserve natural resources for our children.
