They all have a very distinct flavor, and can be very helpful during the allergy season. Lavender and Chamomile can both help calm down asthma and bronchitis. The chamomile I have found helpful in shortening a cold if eaten straight from the jar. Chamomile is very calming and combined with the medical properties of honey can also relieve sore throats and stomach ailments.
The Cardamom Cinnamon is so delicious you don't care what it does! Cinnamon is helpful in regulating your blood pressure and lowering you cholesterol. I have read eating 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon will show marked improvement in lowering cholesterol. You can easily eat 1/2 tsp. on your english muffin in the morning topped on honey! I eat it all the time.
All can be used in cooking or in tea. The lavender honey is lovely in chicken dishes where a glaze is needed. There are a lot of cooks on line finding lavender honey adds an unusual and delicious flare. My favorite way to use lavender honey is on yogurt in the morning, the lavender shines through!! Yum!
If you just plain love honey, you won't be disappointed!
Honey is the only food that never goes bad. We bottle our honey in eco-friendly glass jars. Raw honey crystallizes naturally and when that happens you simply put your glass jar in a pot of hot water and leave it for the afternoon and it will return to its natural fluid state. Re heating honey in plastic jars releases toxic carcinogens from the plastic. beware! Always buy your honey in glass jars! Plastic is the cheaper solution but not the smart one!
