About the art work:
Inspired by the holiday " El Día de los Muertos" (or Day of the Dead). Although not always understood by many parts of the world, in Mexico (as well as some other parts of the world ) death is as much a part of life as life itself is. There is mourning and rejoicing; sadness and silliness - woven together into one emotional fabric. It has been liken to welcoming the return of a dear friend or relative, who moved far away and visits just once a year. They also have a humour that is applied to this colouful and intrguing celebration which shines though in many of the events that take place as part of the holiday.
The aim in my art work is to directly communicate with the viewer’s subconscious. I hope you enjoy and can perhaps relate to my art as I share with you part of what is intrinsic to each and every one of us within on some level.
