Historically, this is symbolically related to both the Trinity in Christian theology, and various triples in Pagan thought, such as the Triple Goddess, the Three Realms, etc.
I think it's a meaningful symbol for marriages and commitments, too: both people have their own individual lives, while there's the life of the relationship itself holding them together... and if you cut the relationship, the other 2 separate.
On a more frivolous note- this is a really fun ring to play with! They are very happy being in either ring format, or what I call "sphere" format- describing a sphere, and somewhat similar to the conceptual drawing of electrons circling an atomic nucleus. It's great to fidget with, moving it between these configurations.
This version of the design is sturdy, and suitable for a man or a woman.
The ring pictured is a size 5.75, and the metal is half-round (D-shaped) 14k yellow gold that is 1.9mm wide. It could probably be stretched to size 6.25-6.5 fairly easily. The ring as a whole is around 5.7mm wide.
The final polish is a very high-shine finish.
This particular ring is a size 5.75 US. The price listed is for this particular ring. Rings made to order based on this design will be priced reflecting the current metals prices, size, and work required.
