Measuring 2½" in length before being flattened and shaped, the plate is probably less than a half mm thick (nothing you would cut yourself on but fine enough to describe as having some "edge").
Plate depicts a face with sideburns surrounded by wheat clusters, a pair of hands holding an emblem and a figure seemingly floating over a body of water. The face (on the left side) is encircled by the words, "Paris 1900" while the figure opposite is surrounded by the words, "Chicago 1893." Between these two graphics are the two hands approaching the center, appearing to hold another circle around the circumference of which the words, "GE GETZL GESCH" appear.
Pictures tell a thousand words.
