This bold, colorful steampunk-inspired choker has a bit of a carnival feel.
I made the centerpiece of this necklace by hand, sawing a bezel strip from a sheet of copper, forming it into a ring, soldering it onto a hand-textured backplate, drilling and cleaning up four attachment points, oxidizing it, and bezel-setting the vintage watch movement. I then attached brass chain, silk strips, four garnet chip beads, and a blue vintage flash bulb (which has been coated in a protective layer of clear acrylic paint to protect the blue finish).
This choker will be made to fit your measurements--when buying, please let me know how long you'd like the chain to be. I'll wire-wrap the ends securely and attach a lobster claw clasp.
I've just started making jewelry in my own basement, using my own tools, rather than renting studio space. Read more about it at http://purpleshiny.blogspot.com/ !
