The patina has lovely browns, oranges, reds, magenta, dark blue, and purple. The design sort of reminds you of curling vines. I can make a thinner one by special request.
I started with a raw brass flattened cuff blank. I added several dents using my hammer and metal odds and ends I had laying on my bead board.
By laying the bracelet on top of them and hitting the metal very hard with my hammer the dent from the object would end up on the bracelet.
I then shaped the bracelet by hammering it a lot! I had to bend it, and hammer some more to finish the edges so they would roll and thicken. I used sand paper for texture and also finished the edges with my dremel tool to make them very smooth.
The edges are pounded hundreds of times so they are thicker than when I first started and smoothed with my dremel tool. They don't have that cut feeling. A lot of work went into this bracelet as well as punishment to the family and neighbors with the pounding noise.
I applied a light patina and it was so vivid with color I decided to leave it this way. It's sealed with Renassaince Wax on the inside and out.
This adjustable bracelet bangle cuff is made to look casual with a touch of elegance. It will fit up to a 7 inch wrist and can be squeezed smaller. The width is over 2 3/4 inches, that is very wide!
