I wanted this necklace to have an antique heirloom appearance, so I used a whimsical color palette that is soft and harmonious. The central flower on the necklace is enameled in shades of iridescent copper and pastel blue. The flower assemblage rests upon a brass stamping which I have enameled in white and royal blue. The enamel on the pendant based is distressed for shabby chic charm. The center of the flower is adorned with a sky blue Swarovski crystal. The center pendant is accented on each side with flowers, rhinestones and enameled filigrees in complementing shades. The necklace is completed with beads in amber Czech glass, faux pearls, and vintage copper chain. The chain has been treated with a top coat to preserve the rich copper tones.
This necklace would be so gorgeous in a vintage style wedding. I envision a cream colored dress with a bouquet of soft blue flowers. How romantic and memorable!
The center assemblage piece is 2.75 inches wide (7 cm). Each filigree is 1.25 inches in diameter (3.2 cm). The key is 3 inches long (7.6 cm). The necklace length is 17 inches (43.2 cm). I have added an extender that provides an extra 1.5 inches in length (3.8 cm).
