My inspiration for this necklace comes from the beautiful motifs found in Moroccan mosaics and textiles. I used a combination of rawhide, chocolate brown patent leather and soft, caramel colored leather. Each piece of leather is cut into a unique shape and layered on top of one another. Cream colored wooden beads and small navy blue beads frame the large, dark brown stone bead in the center. The black chain is made up of six individual black cord strands and one sheer ribbon strand to give the piece an airy, romantic vibe.
The finished piece reminds me a single mosaic tile with a Moroccan twist!
This piece looks FABULOUS with a strapless top or a black strapless dress.

All of my leather is hand cut, hand sewn and hand assembled which may account for slight imperfections. I like to think it gives each piece its own unique character, to indicate that the item was crafted by hand.
