I have chosen the sections of this brooch to give a good contrast between colors and shapes. It has been highly polished in a barrel with shot and husk, thereafter heated to bring out the metal's natural colors.

Kedlock is a farm in the hills of north Fife. It is in amongst some wee copse covered hillocks which, from the other side of the Eden valley, looks a bit like a Watteau landscape.
