I've designed these buckles with bits of vintage, retired, and found-alongside-the-road vehicle license plates, mostly from the state of Michigan.
Our buckles are sealed to protect the paint from chipping, especially on those vintage plates that are in danger of giving up their colors. Rust is a natural part of the lives of these plates, so they, too, are preserved to create the unique, weathered look vehicles get here in the wintry north. The buckles are textured, but will not snag on clothing or fingers. They are fun to touch, and since they are well-sealed, feel free to do so!
Buckles fit snap belts from 1.5" - 1.75". The buckle is 3" x 2" and brass or silver-colored. For ages 8 and up. Belt sold separately.
Shipping to USA is by USPS with tracking. International customers, contact me for shipping cost.
