Inspired from nature and the rock formations sighted on my many hikes in the Colorado mountains, these hand painted abstract designs are the foundation for these reversible glass pendants.
Small portions from the large hand painted designs were digitally scanned and then embellished with inspirations from nature. These little daisies gently caressing one another is about birth of the spring and love. I remember as a young child pulling petal after petal hoping one day I would find my great love (which I happily did). This pendant is an ode to those carefree days spent musing and wishing. . .
The back side of the necklace is another portion of the abstract with a little message. . he loves me. . that you can keep close to your heart or wear it boldy for all to see. Layered inside of the clear glaze is a subtle dusting of silver dust, that mimics micas, silvers and golds embedded in the rock formations. The light will just hit at the right moment for a little shimmer.
The glass pendant is approx. 1" x 2" and 3/8" thick where light enters from the sides. The pendant is attached with a sterling silver bail to a 18" 6 strand white stainless steel wire.
It is finely finished and beautifully packaged with a card holder and cello protective cover for gifting, comes in a protective bubble pack/flat mailing envelope.
