This triangular shawl’s final shawl size is approximately 70” across the neck edge and 30” down the center back. The pattern includes directions for two different shawls: a simpler shawl containing only the smallest diamonds and the more complicated pattern shown in the pictures. The directions for the simpler shawl are written out as well as graphed while the more complicated pattern is only graphed. The lace edging along the bottom is written and graphed out.
This pattern requires approx. 800 yards of sport or aran weight yarn, size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles, and a yarn needle to run the ends in.
The more complicated pattern is for Advanced Intermediate knitter while the basic pattern could be done by and Advanced Beginner. Stitches include knit, purl, yarn over, slip 1 stitch, knit two together, ‘slip 1 – knit 1 – pass slipped stitch over’ as well as variants based on the last two.
