Eight antique cigar boxes are housed in an old wooden crate. The crate has been modified with a bottom ledge that extends in the front - perfect for displaying treasures. Makes a fabulous storage or display piece, stacked on other crates or a desk.
Colorful graphics, labels and tax stamps stand out against the old wood crate. The eight Duquesne Club cigar boxes, are marked six cents a cigar:
- 1 box with full lid (shown in photo)
- 3 boxes with divider compartments that were created with the box lids
- 4 boxes that are open with no lid
Each box has a handmade square wooden knob that is attached with a screw and washer.
This antique cigar box cabinet has been airing out but still has a musty smell. The box interiors show dirt and grime from over the years - it is definitely NOT spotless. It has all the character one would expect for an old item that was probably living in a barn, and would benefit from another good (gentle) cleaning. Overall, the wood crate, boxes and knobs are all sturdy, and it functions very well as a storage cabinet.
Measures 19.5" across, 13" tall, 11.5" wide with wood shelf in front (6.5" wide without shelf).
