Dinner in Tuscany. The koala climbing bamboo at the zoo. Klimt. When I gave that lady my biography on Picasso when I was a waitress and she never returned it to me. Visual elements trigger unexpected memories pulled from a personal history, we relate to it through our own filters yet we see the piece as a whole, and experience of a sense of transference that goes beyond rapport.
