This ornament is a remembrance ornament for a mother or family who has suffered the loss of a baby. Whether it be a miscarriage or infant loss sometimes we need something to have and to touch in order to heal. When a baby is taken from us often there is nothing of theirs to keep, to cry on, to adore, to touch. I know this because my husband and I lost our first baby. We waited for years to start a family and were overjoyed to know a baby was on the way. My body could not carry him to full-term and our son Dominic was born at 23 weeks gestation. He was too small to save but he left a huge footprint on our hearts.
We raise money each year for the March of Dimes in his honor and we will continue until our last days. I decided to make these ornaments for all of those Mommies and Daddies who have a broken heart. You never get over the loss of a child; you only learn to live with the loss.

100% of the profits from my loss ornaments will go directly to the March of Dimes. They continue to be on the cutting-edge of neonatal medical research. Dominic could not be saved but our twins, Dominic's little brother and sister, benefitted greatly from medical care provided in the NICU. All made possible by the continued research of the March of Dimes. Please make them your charity by going to www.marchofdimes.com and registering to participate in the "March for Babies" in your area.

These ornaments are made of polymer clay and available with a choice of: pink, white or blue satin ribbon. Each ornament measures 3 1/4" in diameter and is dusted with an iridescent glittery angel dust. I have finished each with a generous high shine sealant.
