this basket has metal handles finished with a terra cotta enamel. the handles have a few scuffs and scratches (please see photos), but these only add to the charm. the basket is woven with, what looks like, a heavy raffia or light wood. there are some spots around the basket which you can see in the photos. the cover is held on with the original hinges which wobble a bit, but still have many years of life left in them. the handles hold nice and strong.
the wooden base is 14 1/2" x 8". the top is 18 1/4" x 12". the basket stands 10" tall.
