The Story Behind the Dyeing
My mother-in-law dyes fabric for quilting and one day I decided to try it out. I absolutely LOVED it…but, I hated the part were you had to measure things and use ‘recipes’. So, when I dye, I just go with it and let it happen. I never know what I’m going to come up with but the great thing about dyeing is that you can always dye it some more. I really enjoyed doing fabric, but I personally love wearing ‘tie-dye’ and thought it would be super cute to dye bodysuits for babies (this is before I was ever even pregnant). So, I did a batch. I get really excited about things and I brought some in to work to show off (remember…I used to be a civil engineer). I actually sold some that day to the men I worked with! After that, I knew they were going to be a hit. Now that I have two baby girls of my own, you’ll rarely see them wearing white!
