This series of work began with the double images I refer to as The Illness Apprentice I, II, III and IV, where I photograph multiple parts of me and situate them together like Siamese twins in a way to extract one from the other in an endless circle. The actual double-imaged self-portrait has transformed into a single portrait with multiple personalities. The process re-enforces the ambiguity of the character by disconnecting it from a particular time and placing it in a more theatrical location, thus creating endless interpretations though remaining a dueling self.
This image was created in many parts, from digital to tangible then back again and again.
