I braid the wet clay like hair, then coil it like a traditional pot.It is 4"H X 10 1/2" W at at the top. It fans gracefully from the base to the top of the piece. The tiny little faces peek out from the center of the flowers. I have glazed it with the taffy glaze as background glaze with chocolate centers. it can also be glazed to look like a coneflower or a daisy, and the faces can be done in taffy if you would like them to be more noticeable. I prefer them to be subtle.

Its a great fruit bowl or bread basket. It also works well as a colander. I have one like it I have used for many yrs. Use it to rinse and serve berries, or your pasta, as it won't sick to the glazed surface. If you know someone who loves sunflowers this is the gift!
